Church Langton Primary celebrates strong SIAMS Inspection Report

Church Langton Church of England Primary School is celebrating a highly positive outcome following its recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS), recognising the school as a place where “pupils and adults are able to flourish.”
The report highlights the school’s deeply embedded Christian vision, rooted in the values of kindness, endurance and courage, as a driving force behind a culture of care, inclusion and high expectations. Inspectors praised the school’s nurturing environment, describing it as “radiating care and love” and a place where the whole community is supported to thrive.
Among the school’s notable strengths, the report commends:
-
An inspiring and inclusive culture where all individuals are valued
-
A rich and engaging curriculum tailored to meet pupils’ needs
-
Highly effective leadership of Religious Education
-
Meaningful and reflective collective worship that supports spiritual development
The inspection also recognised the strong sense of community, with pupils described as happy, respectful and eager to take on responsibility.
Newly appointed Headteacher, Mr Ross, paid tribute to the staff who led the school through the inspection process:
“This report is a reflection of the dedication, care and commitment shown by our whole school community. I would particularly like to thank Mrs Anderson for her outstanding leadership as Headteacher, and Mrs Russell, our RE lead, for their passion and hard work in ensuring such a strong outcome.”
Mrs Anderson, who stepped down from her role just before Easter, worked closely on the school’s development in the lead-up to the inspection, alongside Mrs Russell, who leads Religious Education across the school.
Mr Ross added: “We are incredibly proud that the inspection recognised how our vision is truly lived out day to day. The comments about our culture of kindness and the way pupils flourish capture exactly what makes our school so special.”
The report also identifies areas for further development, including expanding opportunities for pupils to respond to injustice and deepening their understanding of diverse religious practices—areas the school is already keen to build on.
“This is a wonderful foundation to move forward from,” Mr Ross said. “We are excited to continue developing our provision and ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow, succeed and make a positive difference in the world.”
